Heavy Cargo and Piano Transport

When things get bulky, heavy, and challenging, our heavy-haul team steps in. This was the case when we transported a high-quality piano and carried it up to the 3rd floor for a customer in Cologne. The concert grand piano was temporarily stored in our furniture warehouse for about four weeks until it could be delivered to the pianist in Cologne. To do this, the entire street had to be closed off and traffic rerouted. Our staff specially packaged the piano, and it was brought into the third floor from the outside using a truck-mounted crane. Transporting it via the stairwell or from the outside using an inclined lift was not possible due to the building’s structure. The project was carried out quickly and according to plan, allowing the road closure to be lifted ahead of schedule.
