Machinery Transport – Precise Handling & Installation
Whether relocating heavy equipment, loading it properly, or carrying out a complex installation—ZBV Fels specializes in the precise handling of demanding loads. Whether it’s a new machine or an internal relocation within your production facilities, we provide the technical solution for moving equipment in the tightest of spaces.

Thanks to detachable specialty trailers, as well as compact forklifts and mobile cranes, we can handle tight spaces, low clearances, and operations in production facilities.
Using state-of-the-art technology—such as compact forklifts, mobile cranes, and detachable specialty trailers—we can handle any machine transport, even through low clearances. If your project also requires mechanical disassembly or reassembly, you’ll find all the details in our Machine Assembly section.

Our Keys to Success

Custom Machine Transport
We’re also happy to assist you with loading, container loading, and in-house machine relocations. We also reliably handle machine packaging, disassembly, and subsequent reassembly at the new location as part of our machine relocation services.

On-site Project Management
Every machine transport is unique—and always challenging. That’s why we inspect both locations as well as all transport routes and plan the process in detail, including routes, travel times, and necessary permits.

Interface Management
We take responsibility for the technical aspects, while integrating our specialized industrial mechanics into the process at precisely the right moments to handle any necessary machine assembly.

Machinery Transport with Equipment
Whether it’s production lines, stand-alone machines, or medical equipment—machinery is essential to efficiency and quality in many industries. We ensure that the exact right lifting equipment and specialized vehicle are available for every machine transport—whether it’s a new machine or an existing one.
Specialized Technical Handling Instead of Standard Logistics
Professional machinery transport is always tailored to each specific situation and requires precise planning of transport routes and load distribution. We conduct an on-site inspection to ensure that sensitive machine parts are moved with the necessary safety measures and the appropriate equipment.
While a complete machine relocation includes all aspects of project management—including disassembly and reassembly—our team focuses solely on the safe movement of the load during machine transport. Through this specialization, we guarantee that your valuable equipment will arrive at its destination undamaged.

Professional Machine Tool Transport & Precision Installation

Transporting machine tools is a highly delicate task in which far more factors come into play than just the weight alone. Preserving the machine’s geometry and protecting state-of-the-art control electronics are our top priorities. Specialized machine tool transport by ZBV Fels includes professional handling for:
- CNC Machining Centers & Milling Machines: Vibration-Free Movement of Sensitive Axes.
- Turning and Grinding Machines: Precise leveling and positioning at the destination.
- Industrial Presses & Punching Machines: Handling Extreme Point Loads During Loading.
- Press Brakes & Sheet Metal Working Machines: Safe Transport of Extra-Wide or Top-Heavy Equipment.
For these tasks, we use state-of-the-art installation technology to position your valuable equipment with millimeter precision, even under the most challenging space constraints.
The Three Phases of Machine Transport

1. Preparation & Loading
Before the actual transport of the machinery begins, the system must be ready for transport. We handle the professional loading and securing of the components onto our specialized vehicles.

2. Carrying out the shipment
During this phase, precision in handling is key, whether the move is within the facility or involves road transport. We use compact forklifts and mobile cranes to safely move machinery even in tight production facilities. We carry out relocations within your warehouse or production facility without the need for a complete site relocation.

3. Insertion & Positioning
After transport, our specialists will install the machine at its new location with precision and in accordance with the documentation. We position the equipment exactly at its new destination, ready for final installation. Once the machine has been transported and placed, our industrial mechanics will, upon request, handle the professional reassembly and testing of the connections.

FAQs
What exactly does our machine transport service include?
We are your specialized freight forwarder for machinery transport, including within your facility. That means: We don’t just move your equipment from point A to point B on the road—we also handle the precision maneuvering within your production areas. Whether it’s installing a new machine or moving equipment within your production facilities—we navigate even the narrowest aisles and position the machine precisely at its intended location.
What types of machinery does ZBV Fels transport?
We transport all types of machinery and equipment—from individual units to complete production lines—regardless of industry, size, or weight. The only thing we do not transport is construction equipment.
Does ZBV also carry out internal transfers during normal operations?
Yes, that is one of our core competencies. Internal relocations often need to be planned so that other production lines are not brought to a standstill. We coordinate the process closely with your production management to keep downtime to a minimum—whether a single machine is being moved or entire production facilities are being relocated.
In addition to transporting machinery to external locations, ZBV Fels also handles the relocation of machinery within the company. As part of this process, transport routes, floor load capacities, safety zones, and production processes are assessed in advance to minimize downtime as much as possible.
Does a machine need to be disassembled for transport?
Whether a machine needs to be partially or completely disassembled depends on its size, weight, and the structural conditions at the origin and destination sites. Often, systems can be moved intact. In many cases, however, partial disassembly is advisable to facilitate transport or reduce risks.
At ZBV Fels, we assess which solution makes the most sense from both a technical and economic standpoint before every project.
Does ZBV Fels also handle disassembly and assembly?
Yes, we not only handle the transportation, but also the professional disassembly, packing, reassembly, and commissioning of your machines.
How do I prepare my new machine for transport to the facility?
It is important that the transport routes are clear and that the floor load capacity has been confirmed. As experts in machine transport, we assess the on-site conditions in advance. We address questions such as: Will the machine fit through the gates? Does the machine need to be partially disassembled for transport? We support you from the delivery of the new machine through to its final installation and alignment.
How do you ensure that no damage occurs during transport?
Our experienced teams rely on precise planning, state-of-the-art equipment such as specialized forklifts and cranes, and secure packaging—to ensure that your machines arrive at their destination undamaged.
Does ZBV Fels also handle international machine transport?
Yes, we offer machine transport services both domestically and internationally—by truck, ocean freight, or air freight, depending on your needs and location.
How quickly can a machine be transported?
Thanks to our internal resources and structured processes, we can reliably handle machine transport even on short notice and within tight time frames.
