Project Reference: Heavy-Lift and Oversize Transport of a TRUMPF TruLaser 5030
When 10,000 kg of sensitive machinery, 3 meters wide, needs to be transported across the border, standard logistics are out of the question. For the relocation of this TRUMPF TruLaser 5030, we handled the entire process—from mechanical disassembly to loading with a mobile crane and on to the oversized transport.

TRUMPF Laser Cutting System
The Challenge: 10 metric tons of precision in an extra-wide format
Relocating highly complex industrial lasers is precision work. In this cross-border project from the Netherlands to the Lower Rhine region, the system’s dimensions posed a particular logistical challenge. With a net weight of 10,000 kg and a machine width of 3,000 mm, the transport of the TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 fell into the category of oversized loads requiring special permits. Sensitive laser technology on this scale requires not only heavy-duty lifting equipment but also precise planning of the transport units.
“When you drive a 3-meter-wide machine across the border, the real work is often already done beforehand. The on-site disassembly in the Netherlands and the loading with a truck-mounted crane—which must be precise to the millimeter—have to go smoothly so that the oversized load can then be safely transported on the road.”
Niklas Zagolla, Managing Director, ZBV Fels
The Implementation: From Dismantling to Loading onto the Crane
To protect the delicate mechanical components and electronics of the laser cutting system and the associated LiftMaster, our team divided the project into three precise phases:
1. Professional Disassembly: In the first step, the entire system was mechanically and electrically disassembled on site in the Netherlands into safe, transportable units.
2. Transport & Loading with a Crane: The individual modules, each weighing several metric tons, were then safely transported out of the production hall. For the final loading onto our special trucks, a truck-mounted crane was used to set down the 10-metric-ton load with millimeter precision.
3. Oversized Transport: Properly secured and in compliance with all regulations for transports 3,000 mm wide, our fleet safely transported the TRUMPF system across the border to its new destination in the Lower Rhine region.
The result
Seamless interface management from a single source: Thanks to a combination of professional disassembly, mobile crane handling, and our own specialized equipment for oversized loads, the laser cutting system was relocated to the Lower Rhine safely, on schedule, and without damage.
